Phone answering for plumbers

Plumbing calls arrive when someone is standing in water, and they go to whoever picks up first. Genesis Voice Agents answers your line while you are under a sink, asks whether the leak is live and whether the stop tap is off, books routine work into your calendar, and rings your mobile only for the jobs you said were worth interrupting for.

The triage questions we build in

  • Is water flowing right now, and has the stop tap been closed?
  • Is it a single fixture or the whole property?
  • Is there any water near electrics?
  • House, unit or commercial premises — and which suburb?

Those answers turn a vague "I have a leak" into something you can act on before you get in the van.

A normal Tuesday

You are on your back under a vanity with both hands wet. Three calls come in. The first is a hot water unit replacement quote, booked for Thursday. The second is a tenant with no water at all, and your phone buzzes before you are out from under the sink. The third is out of area and politely told so. You dealt with one of them.

What happens when you start

  1. You send three fields. The next screen is the confirmation step, not a thank-you page.
  2. On that screen you enter a card for the $1 validation charge, and you read the trial terms before you agree to them.
  3. Within one business hour you get a text and an email from a named person at Genesis Voice Agents with a link to a 15-minute call.
  4. On that call we take your hours, services, service area, and the three questions callers ask most. We do not need your passwords or your phone carrier login.
  5. Your agent answers live within two business days, on your existing business number.

Full timing, wording and cancellation detail is on the free trial page.

Questions people ask before starting

Can it tell a burst pipe from a dripping tap?
It asks whether water is running now and whether the stop tap has been turned off. Those two answers decide whether you get a call within a minute or a normal booking in the morning.
Will it quote a drain unblock over the phone?
Only from the price rules you give us. If a job needs eyes on it, the agent says a plumber will confirm the price on site rather than inventing a figure you have to argue about later.
What about the 2am calls I do not want?
You set which job types are worth waking up for. Everything else is captured, the caller is told when you open, and it is in your list at 7am.
Can it stop callers outside my area wasting my time?
It checks the suburb or postcode against your service area and tells the caller straight away if you do not cover them.
