How setup works, step by step

Genesis Voice Agents does the building. You answer questions once, on a 15-minute call, then we write the greeting, train the agent on your services and hours, test it on your line, and switch it on. Typical time from form to live agent is two business days. After that, changes to hours, promos and notices are yours to make from the dashboard.

The sequence, with timing

  1. You submit three fields. Name, a phone number or email, your business website. No card on that screen.
  2. The confirmation step loads immediately. It states what the trial includes, when billing starts at $249, and that the card check is $1. You enter the card there, after you have read it.
  3. Within one business hour you get a text and an email. Both name the person handling your build and carry one link to pick a 15-minute slot.
  4. The 15-minute call. We ask for your hours, your services, your service area, what counts as an emergency, and what you want the agent to refuse to promise.
  5. We build it. Greeting, questions, booking rules, text summaries, and the hand-off rule for calls the agent should not take.
  6. We test, then you test. We call the agent and send you the recording and the text it produced. You call it yourself. Nothing goes live before you have heard it.
  7. Forwarding switches on. Your existing business number now reaches the agent when you do not pick up, or on every call — your choice.

What the agent does on a live call

  • Answers with your business name and asks what the caller needs.
  • Takes the address, callback number, and a plain description of the job.
  • Books into your calendar when you have asked for booking.
  • Says "I'll have the owner confirm that" instead of guessing at a price.
  • Texts you a summary the moment the call ends.

The dashboard, after you are live

Four controls: temporary or holiday hours, the current promo line, a short-term notice, and the on/off toggle. Change hours on a Tuesday morning and the 9:15 caller hears the new ones.

Dashboard — what you see

  • Hours: regular week, plus a dated override for holidays.
  • Promo: one line of text the agent can mention.
  • Notice: one short message with an end date.
  • Agent: on or off, with the time of the last change shown.

This is a description of the controls we build for you, not a screenshot of features that do not exist yet.

Questions people ask before starting

Who contacts me, and when? What do you need from me?
A named setup specialist texts and emails you within one business hour of the confirmation step. On the 15-minute call we need your hours, your services, your service area, and how you want emergencies handled. We do not need carrier logins, passwords, or access to your bank.
How long is the setup call, really?
Fifteen minutes, once. If you would rather answer by text we send the same questions in a message and build from your replies.
What if I'm on a job and can't talk?
That is the normal case. Every call arrives as a text summary you read when your hands are free. Nothing requires you to pick up while you are working.
When does the agent go live?
Within two business days of the setup call. We test it by calling your line ourselves, then you call it, and only then do we switch forwarding on.
What if I don't like it — how do I cancel, and what happens then?
One click in the dashboard stops future billing. Call forwarding reverts to your phone immediately and your line behaves exactly as it did before. Details are on the cancellation policy page.
